Tomahawk Merit Badges

Merit Badges:
To successfully complete some of these merit badges you must begin prior to or immediately upon arrival at camp. Advance planning will make earning the merit badge easier and more enjoyable. The merit badges offered at camp are primarily limited to those outdoor subjects best learned at camp.
Some merit badges require preparation prior to coming to camp if the Scout wants to complete the badge at camp. Bring a signed statement from your merit badge counselor indicating partial completion of the merit badge requirements, etc.

How Many Merit Badges:
First year scouts will be doing Basketry and Leatherwork during the brownsea program, no additional merit badge sign up is required.
Non first year scouts are encouraged to sign up for at least two merit badges, you can select up to five badges one from each time block. Keep in mind that many merit badges require hours of independent work in addition to the time spent with the merit badge counselor. Review the merit badge requirements of the badges you are selecting to make sure you will have enough time to complete the Merit Badges you are selecting.
