Report from PLC

Treasurer’s Report – We have $3212 in the troop fund and $7413 in Scout Bucks. There was a discussion about dues. There is a great deal of concern that we will not have the needed funds to replace and/or repair worn out equipment. Only 42% of Scouts participated in the wreath fundraiser, which is the only fundraiser that raises money for the troop. The committee decided to implement a $25 yearly due fee per Scout starting in May.

Camping Report – There were no emergency trips on the ski trip. Friday night was canceled due to the storm. The lock-in will start Saturday at 8:00. Scouts should bring snacks/video games/TV sets. Cub Scouts are invited. We have 4-8 scouts signed up for Snow Huskies, and 1 adult and 3 boys signed up for Spearhead. Spearhead won’t happen if we don’t get more boys. JLT and Basic Skills are still on track. There are some places open on the Whitewater trip. Northern Tier; we have 10 people. We will need them to turn in money as payment is due 15 days after the reservation.

Scoutmaster Report – We will be piecing together a road to 1st class – what gets done on what nights. The last Court of Honor should maybe start earlier and we should push ranks more than we did. We should decide by April 1st whether we will be at Tomahawk for one week or two weeks. We should also decide whether we will assist the VFW with Horseshoes on Ice.

Discussion

Flower sales – We will organize a committee who will check into vendors. We are concerned with both quality and price.

Meeting Place Discussion – St. Mary’s will make a decision this week.
