November 2019 Leader's Choice Campout

Who: All Scouts and Adult leaders are welcome to attend

What: This will be a Camping Skills campout. Expect a variety of other Scout related activity NOT limited to but certainly including:

Working with rope and lines, making rope and lines, para-cord, knots, splicing, braiding,  etc. 

Hiking, Foraging, Cooking, Creating make-shift shelters, fire building, 

When:  The Weekend of Friday, 15NOV until Sunday 17NOV

Where: Fred C. Anderson Campground - Peterson 2 Cabin (Reservation# 11TUM)
             186 Andersen Scout Camp Rd
             Houlton, WI 54082

Departure:  Otter Lake Elementary Friday, Nov. 15th
--Meet at 5:45pm for a 6pm departure ***Eat Supper Before Arriving***
--About a 40 minute drive from Otter Lake
Return: Scouts will be dropped off at their homes before noon Sunday.

Why? Because we're scouts! It's what we do to have fun!

Cost: Approximately $25-30 per attendee based on participation.

Scouts should bring

One complete set of non-cotton clothes for outdoor activities: polyester, poly-pro, wool or nylon

2 underwear

2 pair long pants

2 shirts


Winter jacket

Hat and gloves


Closed toe shoes

Sleeping clothes

Sleeping bag

Sleeping PAD


Mess kit, cup, knife, fork and spoon (plastic recommended)

Scout book

Flashlight / Head lamp


Water bottle


Plastic bag for dirty clothes

Smellables (personal hygiene):



Soap and washcloth

Personal medication

Wear Class A uniform with a Class B underneath for traveling

We will be sleeping in heated cabins. Check the weather and pack accordingly.
