Troop 494 is an active troop with Scouts BSA. We are often out and about, through camping opportunities, active learning opportunities (merit badges or other), and serving our communities. Activities are selected and run by scouts, supported by a fantastic group of adults. What is your next adventure?
About Us...
Founded in 1994, we have been a member of the White Bear Lake community for almost 30 years! We are a chartered organization, supported by White Bear Lake Rotary. Our mission is to build well-rounded ethical leaders for tomorrow.
Leadership
Troop 494 believes that the scouts should write their own adventure. Primary leadership roles are held by scouts, elected by members of their troop. Adult volunteers are actively involved to help the scouts run their program and make their way down on the eagle trail.
Eagle Trail
Eagle Scout is the most esteemed rank an individual can achieve in scouting. Some of America's greatest leaders were / are Eagle Scouts. Obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout is not for the faint of heart... but YOU CAN do it! ~5% of all scouts nationally earn the rank of Eagle. Over 25% of Troop 494 scouts have reached this rank.
