186 Andersen Scout Camp Trail http://www.northernstarbsa.org/camping/Facilities/FredCAndersen/default.aspx Located just five miles northeast of Stillwater, Minnesota is Fred C. Andersen Scout Camp. The camp boasts 260 acres along the St. Croix River. Year-round camping, 17 winterized cabins, campsites, and a one-mile trail to a backpacking campsite make this property one of the most active camps. A trading post with snacks, souvenirs, craft items, and Scouting literature is available upon request and ranger's availability. The Andersen-Weekes Tree Farm is a 60-acre site of gently rolling hills, open fields and woodlands perfect for camporees, district events and large groups. Why: To have fun and hopefully better weather than April. A chance to tour more of the camp.Cost: $30 per Scout and $20 per Adult Departure: Otter Lake Elem. School on Friday, August 12th at 6:00pm. Eat supper before arriving. Returning: Sunday around 12pm. Scouts will be dropped off at their homes (we need help with drivers both ways!!) Sign-up: Sheets will be at the troop meetings. All cancellations after Friday, August 5 will be charged $15. All cancellations after Tuesday, August 9th will be charged $30. This camp trip will consist of sleeping in cabins or in tents. Activities will include hiking to Friendship Point and exploring the camp. Scouts should bring:
