Choose one merit badge from
each group...
Group A:
Engineering-
Your worksheet will be your official record to track your
progress for this merit badge. You are responsible for it.
1. Determine at least two options for the item you want to investigate for
requirement 1.
2. Complete requirement 2 and record your information on your worksheet.
3. Complete requirement 3 and record your information on your worksheet.
4. Review requirement 5 and think about which one you would like to do.
5. Review requirement 6 and think about which two items you would like to do.
6. Complete requirement 7 and record your information on your worksheet.
7. Get an Engineering Merit Badge book that you can use. This could be buying
or borrowing one. Be sure to bring it to merit badge weekend.

2. Do requirements on worksheet as
follows:1a 1b and 1d, 2b, 4c and 4d, 5b (print and bring web pages visited)
Group B:
Music-
Get a copy
of the Merit Badge book and read the book before arriving at the Merit Badge
Weekend.
1. Requirement 1: You will complete this at the
Merit Badge Weekend.
2. Requirement 2: You will complete this at the
Merit Badge Weekend.
3. Under requirement 3:

If
you have not been in a musical group (band, choir, other local musical group –
or have performed as a soloist in public six times) six months (combining last
year and this year), you will need to complete requirements 1 or 2.

You will do requirement 4 at the Merit Badge
Weekend.
4. Under requirement 4: You will complete
either requirement 1 or 2 during the Merit Badge Weekend.

Astronomy- (can only be finished if already started)
1. Complete 5b (if not already)- Using the
internet, books, and other resources, find out when each of the five most
visible planets that you identified in 5a will be observable in the evening sky
during the next 12 months, then compile this information in the form of a chart
or table.
2. Complete 6a (if not already)- Sketch the
face of the Moon and indicate at least five seas and craters. Label these landmarks.
3. Complete 6b (if not already)- Sketch the
phase and the daily position of the Moon, at the same hour and place, for four
days in a row. Include landmarks on the
horizon such as hills, trees, and buildings.
Explain the changes you observed.
